Terms of Service

Welcome to Hyrin. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hyrin platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Hyrin ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Hyrin is an AI-native interview platform that enables organizations to evaluate candidates through AI-assisted coding interviews. The Service includes:
- AI-powered interview sessions where candidates interact with an AI coding assistant
- Live session monitoring and observation tools for interviewers
- Post-interview analysis and candidate evaluation
- Candidate management and tracking
- Challenge and question library management
- Team collaboration and workspace management
3. Accounts and Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account using Google OAuth or another supported authentication method. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk.
4. Workspaces and Teams
Hyrin uses a workspace model for team collaboration. Workspace owners and administrators are responsible for managing members, roles, and permissions within their workspace. You agree not to invite or add individuals without their consent.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:
- Use the Service to discriminate against candidates on the basis of race, gender, age, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms
- Use the Service to generate, store, or transmit malicious code
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
6. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence models to conduct interviews, evaluate code, and generate analysis. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated outputs are provided as decision-support tools and should not be the sole basis for hiring decisions
- AI models may occasionally produce inaccurate, incomplete, or biased outputs
- You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated evaluations and exercising independent judgment
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content
7. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
If you use the BYOK plan, you provide your own API keys for third-party AI model providers. You acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for any costs incurred through your API keys
- You must comply with the terms of service of the respective AI model providers
- We are not liable for any issues arising from third-party AI model providers
- You are responsible for securing your API keys and must not share them with unauthorized parties
8. Candidate Data and Privacy
You acknowledge that interview sessions involve collecting and processing personal data from candidates, including code submissions, chat interactions, and behavioral data. You agree to:
- Obtain appropriate consent from candidates before conducting AI-assisted interviews
- Inform candidates that the interview is AI-assisted and that their interactions will be recorded and analyzed
- Comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and local regulations
- Use candidate data only for the purpose of evaluating their suitability for the role

9. Intellectual Property
Our IP
The Service, including its design, code, AI models, algorithms, documentation, and branding, is owned by Hyrin and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of or rights to the Service beyond the limited license to use it.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Service, including custom challenges, questions, and evaluation criteria. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process it solely to provide and improve the Service.
Candidate Submissions
Code and other content created by candidates during interview sessions are owned by the respective candidates unless otherwise agreed. You may use candidate submissions for evaluation purposes in connection with the hiring process.
10. Subscription Plans and Payment
The Service is offered through multiple subscription tiers with varying features and limits. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle
- Exceeding plan limits may result in service restrictions until the next billing cycle or an upgrade
11. Service Availability and Support
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any downtime, interruptions, or data loss resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hyrin shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hyrin and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- We may delete your data after a reasonable retention period
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including indemnification, limitation of liability, and intellectual property) will remain in effect
15. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
